Tate Donovan in Into Thin Air
(1985)

Long before Damages and The OC, Tate got tied up and dragged around by kidnappers in this TV-movie. The movie is a strange mishmash of superb performances by Ellen Burstyn and Robert Prosky, combined with the exploitative, sledgehammer directing and writing of one of those "Won't someone think of the children?" TV-movies.
